High school is never high school without the popular girls. Without the jocks. Without the nerds. Without the outcasts. High school is never high school without the admiration and terror the A- circle brings. High school is never high school without the jocks bullying the nerds, the outcasts, and those who are not even sure of their sexuality.
My sister,
Cami, has a gay best friend. She totally adores him and loves the way he acts and talks (lucky her, I've always wanted a gay bestfriend who isn't after my boyfriend!). She told me that on the first day of school, her gay bestfriend, who we shall call K, acted very manly. He talked and walked like a man... or boy.
A few days later, he would talk to the guys and upon leaving, he'd brush his hand against their asses or their arms. When the guys were getting stuff out of their locker, he'd put his palm against their napes. The guys, now knowing that he's gay, would get creeped out and would even stay away from him. In fact, whenever he approaches them, they'd walk away.
I found this funny because the tides have turned. No longer does the majority terrorize the minority, it was the minority scaring the shit out of the majority. How often do you see a group of boys getting scared of a homosexual in a high school setting? None. It is the perfect revenge of the "nerds."
